Javier BravomaloThe availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation ensures access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene, yet 2.3 billion people live in water-stressed countries. SDG Goal 6 targets include, but are not limited to, universal access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene, reducing water pollution, increasing water use efficiency, integrated water resources management, and protecting water-dependent ecosystems.
Somewhere in India, along the Ganges. In this projection, the famous river has again become the source of life it was for millennia. The water is clear and healthy again. Children can play, the faithful bathe there and the dolphins of the Ganges are back. The population, concerned about its environment and its impact, continues its rituals along the preserved river.
Here, floating waste and chemical fumes pouring into the river have replaced the flora and fauna of our water courts. At the center of this apocalyptic vision, two young children equipped with a gas mask sail on a pink flamingo buoy, which has become the symbol of our contemporary pool parties.
